I follow politics and there is this person who is called Donald Trump. I wish I never knew him, but it is what it is. I dislike him, I consider him as a misogynistic pig. And speaking of pigs, I read few months ago “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. And I reviewed it in one of my blog post. If you want to read it fully, go ahead and click here.

The whole story starts with animals wanting independence from human race, since humans exploit them and they don’t give anything back. Which is true. So after few years, animals rebel and they get rid of their master. During those years, since pigs were clever, they learned human language and its teachings. After the rebellion pigs are the ones who start to manage the farm. They declare that all the animals are equal and they even have their own 7 commandments. Initially, everything is great and everyone is happy. They maintain the farm just fine.

Napoleon (Donald Trump), who is a pig and is one power-hungry pig starts to steal from cow’s to feed its offsprings and its likes and constantly tells the other animals that he works so hard, that he can do the jobs that other animals do. So animals since they are ignorant they cave in and let him not work and bring him and his likes food and other necessities. Pigs start to persuade that their decisions are for the other animals and they should never think that they will do anything bad towards them. Napoleon has an advisor named Squealer (Mike Pence) who is good at persuading through words. So they start to rule the others.

Then day-by-day Napoleon changes the laws to make sure that he can have more power, he forces the other animals to confess and if something goes against him, he gets rid of his enemies. He twists words, he says something but does completely the opposite, he maintains his power through ignorance and his likes. (No wonder Trump appoints people who are like him!).

Do you see how everything describes Trump and his politics? How he always claims he is just and kind but his actions never represent his words? He wants to give power to the people, but does the opposite. He appointed people who are wealthy and they don’t represent either the middle class or the lower class.

And all of this takes place in 1984.

Whatever Trump doesn’t like he calls it “fake news”, even if you can clearly see that his crowd during the Inauguration was far less, his team called their lie as an “alternative fact” which what the hell is that?! Every time someone brings up a fact, he dismisses it because it doesn’t please him and his ego. He claimed that 3-5million people voted illegally and “none of the votes were for him” but he couldn’t provide a single source or a fact. And there are so many people who are genuinely ignorant that will believe him. Which is how Trump likes to say : “sad”. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump will get himself “Ministry of Truth” where everything will be altered. Well, Kellyanne Conway told that we should look at his heart, not his words.

“The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.”

While many Trump’s supporters call liberals or the opposition “sensitive snowflakes”, they are unaware their leader constantly lies and fabricates the truth. Dear Trump supporters two plus two  doesn’t equal five, it equals four. “Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.” Instead of calling every fact as “fake news” one always should look into facts and come to a conclusion what is right and what is wrong.

“Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.” -George Orwell

In conclusion, as long as we stand and think critically, we will be less manipulated by any group.

With the best wishes,
