Hi Runners!

I just completed 21 days of running every single day without any rest day! For some people, it might not be a big deal but for me it was.

I used to run (in 2015) almost daily and my weekly km was 50-60km. My pace was in such a good place, but then I started to semi-slack and after that it went downhill-ish.

After my first every marathon this April in Paris, I slacked some more. I wasn’t satisfied with my time, but considering I had an ankle injury, I was glad I completed and I went back home with my medal. I ran few times here and there in April but nothing consistent.

So on May 10th I decided to run without any rest days. As long as I logged in 1km, it was good. The beginning was tough, I told few of my friends about the challenge, and I would send them my daily runs. Keep in mind, that your friends should be allowed to bully you if you fail. Mine are pretty good at it, then I proceeded to let the Instagram world know about it. Double accountability. And I’m not one of those people who fakes their runs. If you know what I mean.

I finished my 21 days of running challenge with 21.1km. The beginning was good, until the last 3km. I started to run/walk then at some point “walk” and by walk I mean I was struggling to even walk, my hips were tight and I was exhausted, both mentally and physically. It’s good to keep track of my runs, I like looking back and see how much I progressed or in some cases my slacks 😂I really liked this running challenge and I think I will keep it up and see how many days I can go without a rest day.

Btw, I started to run solid hills during the last week of this challenge while in the beginning I would just ignore them and run away from them.

Have a great week!
